Located at an altitude of 6,461m/21,190ft, Mera Peak Summit is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Spring and Autumn seasons being the best season to climb this mountain, you will be awe-struck by the most astonishing views of the Himalayan summit and its lavishing views of five of the 8,000 meter above mountains that includes Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. We will not only pass through the beautiful quest to Nepalese wilderness but also pass through quaint villages which will give us a glimpse into the rich culture of the locals. 


It is one of the most excellent climbing options for everyone with reasonable mountaineering experience. With a rising elevations of the peak we need to have technical skills about mountaineering and it is one of the basic skills. Our Sherpa will provide you the basics of mountaineering and acclimatization knowledge through-out your journey.

After arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by one of our airport representatives. He will help you get transferred to your Hotel. There are no planned activities for the day. You will check-in to your Hotel and relax.

Today we will be starting our journey and flying to Lukla chartering a domestic flight from TIA. Lukla airport is one of the highly situated airports and landing at this airport will be breathtaking. We will start our trek in leisurely fashion from Lukla and our destination for the day will be Chutanga. Travelling through the pine and rhododendron forests, we will hike for about four hours to reach this beautiful settlement of Chutanga.

Through the forest, observing the different kinds of plants we will cross Zatrwa La Pass. 

 

Today we will pass through a slightly sloped small trail to reach Kothe.

Today we will be elevating to a higher altitude. Trekking through the ridge of the Hinku Khola situated as a shadow of Mera Peak, we will pass through Gondishung. Gondishung is the herders' settlement situated in the west bank of Hinku Drangka. We will trek through s a 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa and a short walk will lead us to Thaknak. Thaknak is a summer grazing area with primitive amenities.

Today we will rest and separate a day to acclimatize. We will be climbing higher elevation tomorrow and will be covering 1000 meter altitude in a day time that may take us 4-5 hours, so we will prepare our gears and rest enjoying the view.

Today as we leave Thaknak, we will follow the trails of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka. It possesses an astounding view of Charpate Himal and further hiking up we will reach the Hinku Nup and Shar glaciers. The road will be steep to Khare and majestic view of Mera north will amaze you all along the way. We will stay at Khare for overnight accomodation.

Walking through the trail of stretched boulder and steep himlayan pavements we will set our journey toward Mera Peak Base Camp. We will continue our journey further higher and enter Mera La pass and reach Mera High Camp. It will be a rocky trail and snow can make it hazardous as there are numbers of rifts all along the way. As we elevate up and reach high camp. lavious views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, the south face of Lhotse, Nuptse, Chamlang and Baruntse will make you awe-struck.

Today is one of the most important days of our trip and we will be starting our day early at around 2 in the morning for breakfast. It will be a cold morning with and as we walk to trail up, it will start getting warmer as we reach the glacier and a peculiar ridge. As the glowing red shine of the sun hit the peaks, we bet your heart starts carnivalling. It will still be a non-technical slow climb into the steep slope with thin air. We will step into the foot and prepare our gear after hearing from the climbing leader and climb the summit. The mighty Himalayan Summit (Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) and others) and its crest will amaze you its beauty and strength.  We will retrace our way back to High camp and Khare taking breaks all along the way.

We trek from Khare to Kothe along the same trail used previously. After reaching Kothe, we celebrate our success by trying out local delicacies and wines.

Today, we will climb up and pass through lush forest on the west side of the Hinku Valley to Thuli Kharka. It will be a nice walk passing through the dense red Rhododendron forest and into himayan trail of Nepal and remiscene the memory of the Mera peaks and while observing the Mera North, Mera Central, Mera South as we return. Straight ahead and up through the rhododendron forests we may encounter wild animals if we are lucky.

Crossing over the rhododendron forests and through the bamboo jungle, we will pass through some nice stone caves and reach a village where we will have our lunch.

We fly back to Kathmandu on the earliest possible flight. After reaching Kathmandu we have the rest
of the time off to rest untill our scheduled flight. We bid you a good farewell untill next time. On the
way back, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of
Nepal.
